How does Dosera inject without a needle?

Dosera uses a pressure-powered delivery mechanism instead of a conventional hollow metal needle. When activated, liquid is forced through a precision nozzle at high speed, creating an ultra-fine jet that can pass through the skin.

How do I know the medication actually went in?

After holding the Dosera injector against your skin and pressing the injection button, your medication will be shot past the skin and into the tissue. You can visually check that there is no longer any medication/liquid left in the nozzle.

Does needle-free mean painless?

Not necessarily, but users usually experience less pain than with a needle. The Dosera jet injection sensation may be comparable to flicking yourself on the skin with your thumb and index finger. 

Can bleeding occur?

Bleeding does not usually occur with the Dosera needle-free jet, but some users report an occasional pin-sized blood drop at the injection site.

What medication can I use the Dosera needle-free injector for?

Use the Dosera needle-free injector jet for peptides, insulin, hormones, vitamin B12, and various other medications and cosmetic agents.  

How much medication can be administered per application?

Dosera can administer from 0.01 ml (minimum) to 0.5 ml (maximum) of a liquid treatment per application.

Is needle-free injection a brand new technology?

No, the principle behind jet injection has been studied and developed for decades since the 1930s, including historical vaccination systems. What has changed over time is the ability to make these systems smaller, more practical, hygienic, and suitable for individual use.

Can I travel with Dosera?

Yes, the device’s compact form factor make it convenient to store and transport, but users should still follow applicable travel rules for medications, liquids, and any accompanying components.
